Almost all assortments of roundwood in Estonia have become significantly more expensive in April 2014 on a yearly basis. However, there are some exceptions: birch veneer is far cheaper than a year ago (almost by -16%), while birch pulpwood has registered a price decline of more than -10%. For the rest, prices have seriously increased: spruce sawlogs are more than 11% up, pine sawlogs prices surged by 5%, while aspen logs rose almost 7%. Pine and spruce pulpwood have reached a price increase close to 10%.

However, as compared to March 2014, Estonian roundwood prices recorded some discrepancies. Prices for sawlogs are stable (with minor increases or decreases), except birch veneer which has lost more than EUR 5 per cubic meter. Pulpwood prices surged by EUR 0,43/cbm for birch and EUR 1,51/cbm for aspen pulpwood.
