US Patent Office issues “Snap” patent to Unilin

The United States Patent Office has issued patent US 7,040,068 to Unilin. This patent protects glueless systems for HDF-based flooring panels that allow the panels to be snapped (or tapped) together. Unilin launched this snapping technology in January 1997 and now this snapping technology has become the most applied installation system in the HDF-based flooring industry. One of the major advantages of these snap-type systems, is that it allows user-friendly installation in virtually every situation.
