A new rotary-cut veneer production line of about 4 million euros has been recently inaugurated by Bumex Lahdenpohja plywood mill (Karelia).
As the Bumex president Mikhail Belyayev says, the project has been implemented within three years. As a result of cooperation with Finnish company Raute, Lahdenpohja now hosts the fastest in the world rotary-cut veneer production line: during its testing, engineers have reached a record parameter of veneer production - 365 meters a minute. The new line will help double the company's turnover. Veneer sheets will be delivered to Finland.
