The German producer price indices for oak recorded several trends in January 2023. On average, the index for log wood decreased by -0,4% to 143,4 points. For A grades there was not enough data material available. B qualities reached the level of 149,3 points ( 0,3% ), to which 3 m lengths contributed with -5,2% to 138,8 points – and 5 m lengths with 5,4% to 187,7 .
C qualities in January reached 153,1 points ( -0,3% ) – in 3 m lengths 159,7 ( -0,4% ). 5 m lengths reached 162,3 points ( 0,4% ).
For oak pulpwood Destatis calculated an index of 114,8 points ( 7,4% ). Pulpwood of beech reached 120 points ( -3,8% ). The hardwood pulpwood index arrived at 119,2 points ( -2,4% ).
